It’s not just its natural beauty, a history dating back to the 1600’s, or the location and charm. The secret is the people who live here who, without any coordination or plan, have shaped a collective soul that is as appealing as it is unique. We in Lewes, the Podcast, is celebration of these remarkable, creative and energetic people. They’re river pilots and restaurateurs, business owners, teachers, and authors, painters, musicians, and coaches, and water men and volunteers galore, and that’s just our first season.
If you are one of the thousands who live in Lewes, or the hundreds of thousands who visit each year, or you’re simply curious how one small town, despite all of the usual divisions, negativity, and angst you can find anywhere in this country, is able to rise above itself and provide an isle of hope and calm… our program is for you.
